Offline Playback

Download audiobooks and podcasts to listen without an internet connection.

Downloading content

Tap the download button on an audiobook or podcast episode to save it for offline listening. AudioHaven downloads the audio and the filter data, so filters work offline too.

Downloads run in the background, so you can keep browsing or listening while they finish.

Download progress

The downloads view shows each active and queued download with its progress.

If a download is interrupted, for example when you lose your connection, it resumes when you're back online without starting over.

Cellular downloads

Downloads use Wi-Fi by default. To allow cellular data, go to Settings, then Your Content, then Manage Storage, and turn on "Download over Cellular."

Audiobook files can be large, often hundreds of megabytes for a long title, so cellular downloads can use a lot of data. On iPhone, AudioHaven also checks with you before downloading on a hotspot or in Low Data Mode.

Managing storage

Settings, then Your Content, then Manage Storage shows how much space AudioHaven is using and lets you remove downloads to free up space.

Removing a download deletes the local file but keeps the title in your library. You can download it again anytime.

Offline filter behavior

Filter data is saved with your download, so filters work the same offline as online.

If a title's filters are updated, for example after someone reports a missed filter, the new data downloads the next time you're online.
