Roles & Permissions

Understand the difference between owners, adults, and children in a household.

Owner

The owner is the person who created the household with the Family plan. Only the owner can invite and remove members, add child accounts, and dissolve the household.

Adult members

Adults use AudioHaven normally with their own library, filters, and Librarian. Adults, including the owner, can also manage child accounts: approving books for them and setting their filters.

Child members

Child accounts are added by the owner for household members who are 13 or older. Children can't browse or search the catalog. They see only books and podcasts an adult has approved for them.

Children can't change their own filters, and they can't use the Librarian. A child account can play only while the household has an active subscription.
