What the Librarian Remembers

See and remove the preferences the Librarian remembers, delete conversations, or reset its memory.

What it remembers

To give better picks over time, the Librarian keeps your conversations, a short summary of them, and the reading preferences it remembers about you, such as genres you like and things you want to avoid.

You can see all of it in Settings under AI, then Librarian. The screen lists "What I remember about you" and "What to avoid."

Removing a single preference

On the Librarian settings screen, remove any remembered preference you don't want it to use. On iPhone, swipe the item to delete it. On Android, tap the X next to it.

Deleting a conversation

Open the conversation history from the top of the Librarian tab. On iPhone, swipe a conversation to delete it. On Android, tap the X next to it.

Clearing history or resetting memory

Under "Reset & Privacy" on the Librarian settings screen there are two options. "Clear chat history" deletes your conversations, except any you have reported, which are kept until our team reviews them. "Reset memory" clears the summary and every remembered preference, so the Librarian starts over, and keeps your chat history.
