Importing an Audiobook
Step-by-step guide to importing an audiobook file from your device into AudioHaven.
In this article
Before you start
Make sure the audiobook file is on your device or in the Files app. If you bought it from a store you've linked, you can skip the file and import straight from the store.
Starting the import
Tap the + button in the Library tab, or tap "Import Your Copy" on a book's detail page. The Import Audiobook sheet opens. Choose your M4B, MP4, or MP3 file.
Reviewing the details
AudioHaven reads the title, author, narrator, chapters, and length from the file and shows them for you to check.
Choosing where you bought it
Under "Where did you purchase this?" choose the store you bought the book from. This helps AudioHaven match your copy to the right edition in the filter catalog. If your store isn't listed, choose Other.
Confirming ownership
Check the box confirming you own a copy of this audiobook, then tap "Import." AudioHaven asks for this confirmation on every import.
What happens next
The book is added to your library, and AudioHaven looks for a match in the filter catalog. Only the book's details are sent to find matching filters. The audio stays on your device. The book's filter status updates on its page within a few seconds.
If there's no match, you can upload the book for filtering from its page.
